Lee Wai-chun is an esteemed Hong Kong comic artist who has engaged in comic illustration since the 1960s, best known for the classic Miss 13 Dots published in 1966. The highly popular comic series has shaped the trend of girls’ comics as the heroine Miss 13 Dots is an independent, avant-garde, and fashionable girl who challenged the female stereotypes prevailing in society at that time, while the work’s strong sense of fashion added to its popularity. In recent years, Lee has frequently collaborated with established local and international brands, actively promoting Hong Kong comic art. By introducing digital elements into her work, Lee's creations have successfully won over the hearts of the younger generation.
