The almighty Old Master Q conquers the sky and the sea. Readers call him Chinese Superman.

Being humorous, imaginative, indignant to injustice, adventurous, officious and unbounded, the lowly Old Master Q is both the good and bad. He upholds traditional Chinese values but struggles amid Chinese and western cultures. Old Master Q has no lack of friends. Apart from Big Dumb, Mr Chun, Old Chiu and his girlfriend Ms Chan, he also has the acquaintance of many female friends, pets, monsters, and even aliens.

Joseph Wong (Wong Chak) is the second-generation artist of comics Old Master Q, who was raised in Hong Kong and educated in the US, where he worked as an architect and artist.

Wong’s father Alphonso Wong (1925-2017) started the Old Master Q series under his name Wong Chak since 1960s. The lively and funny comic has since been readers’ favorite.

Having inherited his father’s talent in art, Wong took over and continued his father’s creation in 1995. Today, the widely known comic series has become part of childhood memories that shared by many Hong Kong people and Chinese-speaking readers around the globe.
