Elphonso Lam is a comic artist, musician, graphic designer, toy designer, fashion designer, storyboarder, columnist and host all rolled into one. The locally born hard-core figure in pop culture published his debut comic series True Love in 1994, followed by his representative works The Jam and Super Seven. Lam devoted himself to cross-media development, with creation involved in projects across comics, music, fashion, toy, product, video and film.

 

Lam’s illustration books GOODGIRL and SUPER GOOD GOODGIRL published in 2006 and 2016 respectively have both received very favourable reviews. In 2009, Lam organised his first personal exhibition in Taipei and Hong Kong in celebration of his 20th career anniversary, which was a huge success. In 2012, he represented Hong Kong to attend “Kaleidoscope – History of Hong Kong Comics Exhibition” in Taipei. In 2017, he was one of the Hong Kong representatives to participate in the exchange activity and demonstrate comic drawing at the Festival International de la Bande Dessinée d’Angoulême in France.
