陈某原职香港广告公司，在1996年凭首部短篇漫画《不是人》荣获「第六届东立漫画新人奖」少年组第一名，继而晋身香港漫画界。陈某在1998年夏天推出首本单行本《不是人》而大获好评。1999年再推出科幻作品《充神榜》，亦荣获第三届亚洲漫画高峰会「最佳美术奖」。2001年4月时，陈某发表了打破传统三国视点的漫画《火凤燎原》，故事新鲜，手法和风格自成一派，《火凤燎原》推出至今已超过十八年，分别在香港、台湾、新加坡、韩国、泰国、越南、日本、印尼、中国等地方出版。

八奇

八奇是漫画《火凤燎原》的连载角色，是水镜先生（司马徽）亲自培训的军师集团，每位成员皆被视为当代最杰出的军师，为各方诸侯设法延揽的对象。八奇的成员除少数是作者的原创角色外，其馀大多数都是以真实的历史人物为蓝本。他们有一套制式装扮，T字形髮髻、头戴竹笠、有只露出眼睛的帘状面罩，白色长袍外有宽肩无袖和长及膝的黑色布衣、穿穿黑色长筒靴等，极有悬疑效果，故其真实身份一直成为引起读者广泛讨论揣测的吸引力。
